As a tribute to former Barcelona goalkeeper and coach Juan Carlos Unzue, the match between Barcelona and Manchester was held this Wednesday of 24th August 2022 to raise funds for ALS patients. Juan Carlos has afflicted with ALS two years ago and is still the brain behind many events, especially football. He addressed the spectators in the stadium prior to kickoff and then hung out with Pep Guardiola and Xavi during the game, observing what was undoubtedly an intriguing contest.

The charity game event between Barcelona and Manchester City on Wednesday night at the Spotify Camp Nou was a fantastic spectacle and finished in a 3-3 draw. Over 91,000 supporters crammed the Blaugrana’s stadium to see a very entertaining game of football while also contributing to ALS research. Barça performed well for the majority of the game match and fought at a high level against one of the top European clubs.

After taking advantage of a mistake by the goalkeeper to give the viewers the lead, Julian Alvarez, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Barcelona all equalised thanks to their respective goals. After the interval, Frenkie de Jong finished the game strongly. Cole Palmer quickly equalised, but Memphis Depay stepped off the bench to retake the position. Erling Haaland’s penalty, which Mahrez slammed into the top corner to complete a well-deserved draw, left time for one more goal.
