The much-awaited Bollywood magnum opus – Adipurush got its green signal on 16th June 2023. And after several edits, cuts, polishes, retakes and alleged movie edits, the Adipurush movie has been released after a year.
Yes, it was supposed to be on the big screen in 2022; but the production got delayed due to harsh criticism of its VFX works. And as the makers said that they refined and tune-up everything to satisfy the heart of every cinephile. And now, we highly and indeed doubt it.
Apart from execrable VFX and thoughtless casting, the Adipurush movie does just one thing brilliantly – it embarrassed us on a global scale with its mortifying dialogues.
I cannot simply blame only Majoj Muntashir, the dialogue writer of Adipurush, but everyone plays an equal role in this shoddiness. In the making of a movie, everyone participates and people with high reputations are allowed to make tweaks and turns. Has no one noticed a huge black hole during the making? Not even at the premiere? No one questioned the leather armlets and vests? No one dared to stop the inclusion of sandals? Prabhas as Ram wore sandals and you can see it when he was running into the woods to hunt the deer for Sita.
Let’s not talk about small details because this is no ‘The Shining’ and let’s irk ourselves more with full-of-blunders Adipurush movie dialogues that are highly problematic and contain diabolical double meanings.

2. ‘Main To Bhole Ko Bhula Raha Tha, Yaha To Bhole Bhaale Aa Gaye…’ said Hanuman to Lakshman and Ram
3. ‘Yeh toh Phesaddi hai’ said Lakshman to Ram during Bali & Sugreev’s tiff.
4. ‘Mere ek sapole ne tumhare is sesh naag ko lamba kar diya…abhi to poora pitara bhara pada hai’, said Meghnath to Lakshman and Ram
5. ‘Kapda tere baap ka. Tel tere baap ka. Aag bhi tere baap ki. Toh jalegi bhi tere baap ki’, said Hanuman to Meghnath
6. ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram bol, warna aaj khada hai, kal leta hua milega’, said Angad while challenging Ravan.
7. ‘Jo hamari beheno ko haath lagayenge, unki Lanka laga denge’, said Hanuman to Ram
8. ‘Mujhe kuch aisi cheez do jo kuch din chale bhi…’ said Sita to Ravan. It was a catastrophic moment for me.
9. ‘Jalin Na? Ab Aur Jalegi…Bechara Jiski Jalti Hai Wahi Jaanta Hai.’ said Meghnath to Hanuman
10. ‘Bohot Shubh Yatrayein Dekhli Hamne, Ab Shav Yatra Dekhne Ki Baari Hai.’ said Mandodari to Shrupanakha.
Will You Be Able To Watch Adipurush Movie?
What is the gist now?
Bollywood’s Adipurush movie seems and sounds like another propaganda movie with dialogues like:
‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram bol, warna aaj khada hai, kal leta hua milega’, ‘Jo hamari beheno ko haath lagayenge, unki Lanka laga denge’…
So, what was Manoj Muntashir thinking while pouring his heart down on the paper? The audience will hoot and clap just like they did in Bahubali 2 when Prabhas as Bahubali said ‘Aurat Par Haath Daalne Wale Ke Ungliyaan Nahi, Kaat Tey Hai Uska Galaaaaa.’?????
The story was not intelligently woven and has been assumed that the audience knows everything. We didn’t get the butterflies after seeing Ram and Sita in Adipurush Movie like we got watching Baahubali and Devasena in Baahubali. Indian VFX creators really need to take serious VFX classes or Bollywood could perhaps hire talents from outside. This way they can save their money and reputation as well.
And I really felt sorry for Ravan. That haircut! I don’t understand, why they cast Saif Ali Khan when they didn’t need his height, voice and characteristics.
